WHITE WINES
2003 Melaleuca Grove Yea Sauvignon blanc
This is a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc from Glenburn
in the Yea Valley with intense flavours of passionfruit
and grapefruit combined with crisp acidity and a long
lingering finish. The grapes were hand harvested and cool
fermented in stainless steel tanks to enhance fruit flavour
and the bottles were sealed with stelvin closures to retain
freshness.

2004 Melaleuca Grove Yarra Valley Chardonnay
Pale gold in colour the 2004 Melaleuca Grove Chardonnay
was whole bunch pressed and then barrel fermented, in
a combination of new and old French barriques. This wine
displays subtlety and complexity. Classical Yarra Valley
characteristics of citrus and stonefruit lead to a complex
mid palate with hints of fig, cashew and toastiness. Oak
plays a supporting role in the Melaleuca Grove style,
providing structure without dominating the palate.

2004 Melaleuca Grove Yarra Valley Marsanne.
Marsanne is an unusual grape variety in Australia. It
is native to the Northern Rhone region of France where
it is blended with Rousanne and Viognier to create the
classic white wines of that region. Melaleuca Grove sources
Marsanne grapes from a small vineyard within the Yarra
Valley and produces Marsanne as a straight varietal. The
2004 Melaleuca Grove Marsanne demonstrates all the desirable
attributes of this variety. Pale gold in colour it has
a lemon citrus fragrance with hints of honeysuckle. The
palate is long and balanced with a crisp finish. Aged
Marsanne develops a golden colour and pronounced honeyed
characters with bottle age.
